WONDERBOARD - 3' x 5' x 5/8"

Building a hard, water-durable base for tile, this 3' x 5' x 5/8" cement backerboard is a rigid cement board that fastens over studs, joists, or subfloor to give ceramic and stone tile a solid, moisture-resistant substrate in tubs, showers, floors, and countertops where drywall would fail. Unlike drywall, the cement board does not soften, swell, or grow mold when it gets wet, so it holds tile firmly in wet areas for the life of the installation, and it cuts by scoring and snapping and screws down with backerboard screws. Thinset bonds tile directly to it, and taping the seams with mesh ties the boards together. At 3' x 5' x 5/8" it suits floors and counters. It is the standard tile backer for wet areas.
