Notched onto the substrate and the tile pressed in, the thinset grips tile to concrete, backerboard, and masonry with a hard, water-resistant bond that stands up to floors, wet areas, and heavy tile where a premixed adhesive will not do. Mixed fresh as needed, it sets hard and holds tile for the life of the installation. A 50 lb. bag covers a sizable tile area. It is the standard mortar for setting floor and large-format tile.
