STEAM TRAP - MEPCO 1/2" VERTICAL

Draining condensate and venting air from a steam radiator while holding back live steam, this Mepco 1/2" vertical thermostatic steam trap installs at the outlet of a two-pipe steam radiator to keep the heating loop working efficiently. Its thermostatic element opens when cooler air and condensate reach it and closes tight against hot steam, so the radiator fills completely and condensate returns to the boiler instead of backing up. Rugged brass construction with a union connection makes it easy to install and service, and it is rated from 25" Hg vacuum up to 25 psi for standard and vacuum steam systems. As a vertical trap, it fits the matching radiator outlet piping, and it is a direct replacement for restoring proper steam distribution and quiet, even heat.
