The plugged face fills the knots and voids and a light sanding leaves a smooth surface ready to prime and paint, while the cross-laminated core stays flat and holds screws and joinery for solid construction. At 3/4" it has the strength for cabinet work, shelving, and structural projects, and the full 4' x 8' sheet rips and crosscuts to size. It is a versatile, paintable plywood between rough sheathing and furniture-grade hardwood panels.
