Slipping over a 4" pipe end, this Fernco flexible cap clamps down to a watertight seal in seconds -- no solvent weld, threading, or heat required. Its elastomeric sleeve stretches over the pipe and a stainless steel band clamp draws it tight, making it the go-to for capping a 4" cleanout, sealing a stub-out, or closing a line for a pressure or drain test. Loosening the clamp frees the cap for reuse, so it moves with the work rather than becoming a permanent fitting. For fast, secure closure of larger drain pipe, it is a maintenance and test-plug staple.
