Controlling water to a fixture, this multi-turn supply stop shuts off water to a faucet or toilet at the supply line, taking a 1/2" compression inlet from the supply pipe and a 3/8" OD compression outlet to the fixture supply tube. A multi-turn handle closes the valve gradually onto a washer for a time-tested, serviceable shutoff that can be rebuilt rather than replaced. It isolates a single fixture so it can be serviced without shutting down the whole building.
