This Paratech PI420 is a standard-response pendent sprinkler built around a frangible glass bulb that holds a heat-sensitive liquid; when ceiling temperatures reach 155 deg F, the liquid expands, the bulb shatters, and water discharges through the 8.0 K-factor orifice onto the deflector for a standard spray pattern. The rugged brass body threads into 3/4" NPT wet-pipe fittings, and the compact glass-bulb design keeps the assembly small and stable at its rated temperature. It carries cULus listing for installation under NFPA 13 in commercial and residential wet-pipe systems.
