PLEATED AIR FILTERS

A pleated air filter folds its media into a deeper surface so it can hold more dust, pollen, and fine debris than a flat fiberglass panel, without choking airflow. These pleated filters give forced-air systems a step up in air cleaning while still dropping into the same standard filter slots. They are offered in 1" and 2" thicknesses across the common nominal sizes, so a pleated upgrade is available for most furnaces and air handlers. Better filtration also helps keep the blower and coil cleaner between service visits.
