A sealed DC3V lithium battery powers the unit for a full 10 years with no wiring and no battery changes, so it protects around the clock once mounted. Because natural gas is lighter than air, it installs high on a wall or near the ceiling, 5 to 10 feet from ranges, heaters, and boilers. ETL listed to UL1484 standard and built for low-power reliability, it is an affordable layer of protection for kitchens, utility rooms, and any space with gas-fueled appliances.
